1. Everything is not what it seems means, for example, that everyday colors that you see in the world are not always what they are steryotypically viewed to be like trees. I've learned through many coloring books to always color my trees brown. WRONG! THEY'RE PURPLE, PURPLE I TELL YOU!(strangely this leads to inquisitive stares ). But after that mind blowing day outside I now realize that a "brown" tree has purple, and red, and orange, and green in it. Also that a "green" leaf has yellow and brown in it. This made my world a lot more colorful and totally strange.
2. People like relationships: In any movie, tv show, ect its not the stupid jokes and stuff that people throw in that really make the show interesting, its really the relationships that people watch. Will they, wont they, did they, have they, are they? These are the things that really grasp a person's attention, not the OMIGOSH AN INVISIBLE FLYING TUBA jokes.
3. The Mythic Journey Prevails!: The mythic journey is the main basis of most movies. I think that this is mainly due to the "if it aint broke, dont fix it" mentality that most people have. Not only that, but it works if you change the characters and story line around and keep the basic mythic principles. I bet if you watched 10 movies at least 9 of them would be have those basic mythinc qualities that we have all grown to love.
