"in my monologue"- first discovered in the ruins of SNLithica.....and believed to be written by the prophet Swift

Today in our workshops we further worked on our monogues (which i can finally spell without spell check YAAAAY)! I found it quite enthralling, if you will, to finally connect with mine. At first it seemed to me that my monologue was a farsical diologue which would be the punchline of a Monty Python skit. While this could possibly be the case, I was challenged to read my monogue while putting the bare minimum amount of "pieces of flare" on it. At first I was hesitant, to say the least, to conform to Joy's sugguestions. However i felt it to be worth a shot. After actually reading the monologue as a regular face to face "conversation" I realized that yeah, it did sound a bit better like that. The more i read the more i liked what i was reaidng and the more passionate I became about it, finally resulting in (what i hope to show next week when i have finished memorizing it) a profoundly done monologue that the writer whould be geninuely proud of.

p.s. ask me about the miley concert.....if you havent already.....ive got damn good stories............

  1. Hmmm... I think I have busted you on this a few times in STAC.

Acting is about taking away not adding in. Follow whatever Joy says, whatever any teacher says. Always try out advice - you never know what may work.
